What’s the homogenizer?

The homogenizer is one of the most commonly used sample pretreatment equipment. It mainly achieves full mixing and homogenization of samples through the high-speed rotation of the stator and rotor. It is widely used in biopharmaceuticals, genetic research, cell pulping, daily cosmetics, inks and coatings, fine chemicals, environmental protection, energy and other fields.

Working principle:

During operation, the dispersing blade is inserted into the sample, the motor drives the rotor to rotate at high speed, the material is sucked into the dispersing blade along the axial direction, and then the medium passes through the tooth grooves between the rotor and the stator radially at a high speed.

The tiny gap between the high-speed rotor and the stator produces extremely strong shear force and crushing force, thereby achieving a good dispersing effect. A homogenizing and dispersing operation usually takes only a short time to complete.

The core component motor (electric motor) has carbon brush motor and carbon brushless motor. Since carbon brush motor has the above-mentioned disadvantages, it is recommended that you use a brushless motor when selecting a disperser.

The small and compact design saves more space, and has a precise timing function. It can run unattended, making homogenization and dispersion processing easier.
